As time passes and players are nobled we all get left with a choice...
To leave this world, or become part of the outer rim?

Life On The Rim

 

 

This place is where all players have been once in their time playing tribal wars. It's the life of a world, it's where friendships can mean everything and nothing, where the smallest player can hold off an entire tribe if they know how to defend. This is where the core learnt to be the fighters they are today, the never ending battle that turns that new player into a hardened veteran, the place we all first learnt how to snipe a badly timed noble train, the feeling you have when you clear out a players village and take it from them for the first time...

 

As with all worlds the rim is a strange, almost alien place, with hundred's of players all trying to grow beyond their spot on the map without being noticed. The wars that start because your friend got farmed by mistake, or you attacked somebodies PA and now it's blown up when nobody says sorry... Oh those were the days...

I wanted those in the core to remember where they came from, where it all began once before, but this became more than that when i saw the conviction of these players. Sometimes it is enough just to believe...

Below are three Set's of answers to the same questions, each from members of some randomly selected tribe's, read them and remember your roots.

So with all the action in the core keeping the Top 5 crews busy, how are things on the Rim?

Tbh there is still action on the rim. NomNom are making moves, as are {F}. Us smaller tribes have allot of threats

The rim is pretty busy with its own wars. The smaller tribes are at war, while some of the top 20 tribes interfere, like LOVE allying with my enemies.

Things on the rim are easier, we can keep to ourselves within a closely knit area with our allies. Our biggest problem is with the threats closer to the core and to the north of us. We are against the commonwealth and their allies around us. Our players on the front line are on high defence alert and have received some big blows.  As a whole though, a place on the rim is tactically easier as we are not surrounded so we can send support to our borders to keep our territory marked.

Have you heard about this so-called Commonwealth... Are you concerned?

Commonwealth? they are a mix of small tribes. there are a few alliances like that on the rim, My tribe is part of one. but no, we are not concerned at all

The Commonwealth is nothing to be concerned about. By the time they become a threat, the most dominant tribes will be able to easily crush the entire Commonwealth by themselves. Also, making themselves known on the forums, rim tribes are probably already attacking them.

The commonwealth are a threat, we are in our biggest war yet in our alliance. I personally do get a bit intimidated by the large cloud on the map of commonwealth members but we have shown through our organisation, we can hold our ranks. They may have more members and villages, but on our side we have highly skilled players.

Do you think a Rim Tribe Could win the world one day?

 its no impossible. i have taken a rim tribe to rank 7 before. If you play hard and never give up you could do it
 
I do not really think a rim tribe can win the world, unless completely ignored. Right now, my tribe alone is at war with LOVE, AD, ADA, and Armour. If it wasn't for a top 20 tribe interfering with tribes less than 1/10 of its size, maybe rim tribes would have a chance. However, it is natural for larger tribes to expand outward, where the opposition is weaker and smaller
 
I believe it is very possible as we are strategically placed, as long as we can maintain all our villages,  we don't need to worry about any attacks from that direction, keeping our defence factories safe. If we continue to support our offencive front lines they can continue to push up through the commonwealth.

Whats you most enjoyable war been? and why?

We haven't really had any proper wars. We had one against a guy who tried getting people to noble me while he was in the tribe. he was booted and started a new tribe... he restarted within a few days

I did not really join the world long ago, and have not seen many wars, but there is this one between Ex and its allies vs. HotRex and its allies, That is looking to be good. 

Ha ha, if I'm honest I've never really had a large scale war. This one against the commonwealth is proving to be quite some fun as i like how our community has just pulled together to defeat them. I must say though, we will have some problems along the way but we will pull through with courage and tactics.

As you can see not every battle is in the core, and those guys on the Rim are all hoping to take the lead in this world, they show great spirit here and allot of determination, many of the response's to this i could see the fire in their heart's when they spoke of the future, many will become great players in time.

I always remembered my time on the rim, we had our own troubles, never caring about the core and the battles going on there... This world of tightly clustered tribes that see the k as a huge place to be explored, with so many adventures to have battling each other in a close-quarters battle to the death!
